Martin - Schmidt, JudyJudith A. (Schmidt) Martin, age 74, formerly of the town of Little Rice, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the home of her daughter in Marathon County.Judy was born on July 11, 1943 in Milwaukee to Leonard and Virginia Kubacki. She spent her early years in the Milwaukee area. She was married to William B. Martin, Jr. in 1961. They moved to the Tomahawk area and Judy was employed at Golden Age Nursing Home for 7 years as a nursing assistant and later in the business office. She also had been employed at the Family Clinic and Tomahawk Medical Center for 10 years. Judy also enjoyed working at the Tomahawk Public Library for a number of years. She was in charge of mending, repairing, and covering books.Survivors include her daughter, Cindy (Tim) Jacobson, Merrill; son, Brian MartinSalem, Oregon; and sister, Deborah Cobus, Kewaskum, WI. She is further survived by 2 grandchildren, Lacie Jacobson and Kelsey (Shaun) Hall.The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, July 29, 2017, 12:00 p.m. noon from St. Mary Catholic Church. Fr. Louis Maram Reddy will officiate. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday July 29th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at noon.Krueger Family Funeral and Cremation Services is assisting the family.
