Juanita N. (Crigger) Dubiel, 92, of South Windsor, beloved wife of the late Stanley J. Dubiel, died peacefully on Friday, November 4, 2016 surrounded by her family at the Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Storrs, CT. She was born on October 17, 1924 in Marianna (Yukon), WV, daughter of the late Alex and Mary (Spangler) Crigger. Juanita was a graduate of Big Creek High School in War, WV. She was married for 51 years to Stanley J. Dubiel until his death in 1997. They married on January 24, 1946 and together they settled in South Windsor and W. Willington, CT. Juanita worked as a skilled assembler for Dynamic Controls in South Windsor and retired in 1986 after 20 years of service. Juanita was a kind, caring and loving woman with a beautiful smile and beautiful blue eyes. She was proud to be a wife, mother, sister and caregiver for her family. She enjoyed playing cards, most especially 500 Rummy and Cribbage, and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Juanita was a wordsmith who wrote beautiful poetry and was an independent individual in her thoughts and ideas. She was also given to the love of music and enjoyed singing with her family. She enjoyed gardening and walking and was a life member of the . Juanita leaves her daughters, Elizabeth Dubiel of Glastonbury, Victoria Dubiel of Manchester, Kathryn Dubiel and her husband Paul Patterson of Ft. Collins, CO and Michele Dubiel of Glendale, CA; her nephew, Stuart Preston Bradley and his wife Jody of LaFollette, TN; her sisters-in-law Elizabeth Levay, Marge Dubiel and Janet Dubiel, and many other family members and friends. She was predeceased by her brothers, Alex Crigger Jr., and Clarence Crigger and her sisters, Marie Bradley and Gertrude Alexander. Her family will receive friends on Friday, November 11, 2016, from 5 - 8 p.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016, 10 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Wapping Cemetery in South Windsor. A reception at 1372 Sullivan Ave., South Windsor will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the , PO Box 14301 Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
