Joyce V. Jerauld, 70, of Montrose, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2014, at the Endless Mountains Health Systems. Her husband of 45 years, David P. "Duffy" Jerauld, predeceased her in June of last year.She was born on February 18, 1944 in Bridgeport, Conn., to the late Laurens Vernes and Ella (Dougherty) Knowles. Surviving are her three daughters and sons-in-law, Lori King, Rebecca and Andy Klie, Davina and Geoffrey Magargal; six grandchildren, Andrea and April King, Abigail and Ethan Klie, Grant and Ashley Magargal; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Terrence and Betty Vernes, Robert and Haydee Lombard; two sisters, Diane Evans, Nancy Knowles; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Roy Knowles; and step-mother, Flo Vernes.Joyce was a warm and caring person who chose to devote much of her life to the care of others; from her own family to the many children she welcomed into her home throughout the years. She will be greatly missed.Callings hours were held on Monday, May 5, 2014, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home. A Private Graveside service will be held in the South Montrose Cemetery, at the convenience of the family.
