Chandler, JoyceJoyce Anne Shillabeer (Arnold) Chandler, age 88, passed away at home on August 23, 2017. She was born on June 29, 1929 in Manhattan to Margaret (Petrie) and James Shillabeer. After graduating Binghamton Central High School she worked at Western Union where she met and then married Edward Arnold. Together they had three children. She worked at Western Union at various offices in the New York area for over thirty years as an Accountant. In 1976 she married Joe Chandler of Sumter, South Carolina. She attended New York University and was an advocate for Environmental issues her whole life. Joyce is survived by her children, Adrian Arnold and her husband, Charles Hudanich of Endicott, Lisa Hathaway and her husband Alan of Deposit, N.Y., Derek Arnold and his wife Mary Ellen of Johnson City; three grandchildren, Sandra Hathaway, Bridgette Hathaway and Ashley Hathaway; and great-granddaughter Ayla. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
