A life well lived
Joyce A. Gray-Butts, of Bracey, Virginia, passed away on June 26, 2024, at the age of 55. She was born on February 13, 1969, to Charles Gray and Mary Isbell. She was also raised by her stepfather, Donald Isbell. Joyce is survived by her partner, Fiancee Dennis Colby, and her ex-husband, Lee Butts. Siblings, Skeeter, Tabitha, Anthony, Wilson and Daisy.
Joyce was a devoted mother to her six children: Timmy, Mindy, Amanda, Adam, Austin, and Mary. She was also a loving grandmother to Sofia, Zech, Eli, Remi, Connor, Serenity, Jax, Devontae, Jolene, Raina, Waylon, Liam and soon to be Henry. Joyce was passionate about music, being on the water, driving big trucks and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She will be remembered for her kindness, love, and laughter. Joyce's presence will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Celebration of life services will be held July 8, 2024 from 2-4pm at Richmond Coach & Cremation services, 8500 Staples Mill Road Richmond, VA 23228. Reception to follow at Mary Isbell’s house, 4931 Waymacks Road Charles City, VA 23030. Please bring a side dish and a chair for seating.
