Erickson, JoyJoy E. Erickson, age 60, of Fond du Lac, died Thursday, February 2, 2017 at ManorCare Health Services. She was born on July 10, 1956 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of George and Lois (Grube) Sullivan. On December 5, 1981 she married David J. Erickson at First Presbyterian Church in Fond du Lac. Joy worked as a receptionist at KFIZ and Mercury Marine. Joy is a member of the Fond du Lac Softball Hall of Fame and a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church.Survivors include her husband David J. Erickson of Fond du Lac; two daughters, Ashley (Scott) King of Livonia, MI, Amber (Justin) Summeril of Fond du Lac; two granddaughters, Evelyn and Audrey Joy Summeril; two step-grandsons, Tyler and Carter King; siblings, Robert Sullivan of Fond du Lac, Richard (Loretta) Sullivan of Janesville, Kathleen (Karl Ewerdt) Mertens of Fond du Lac, Krystine Castrodale of Cottage Grove, Daniel Sullivan of Fond du Lac, and Dennis Sullivan of Las Vegas; mother-in-law, Doris C. Erickson of Manitowoc; brother-in-law, Terry (Sue) Erickson of Kiel; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.Visitation will take place on Monday, February 6, 2017 from 10:00 AM until 12 noon at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. Funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 12 noon. Burial will follow at Rienzi Cemetery.
