Joy Walters
September 19, 1940 - August 9, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joy Walters, a beloved member of the East Falls Church community in Virginia, United States. She was born on September 19, 1940, to her loving parents Caryle and Kimbera Santos. Joy was married to Steven Martin Walters in 1983, and together they shared a life filled with love and companionship. Unfortunately, they did not have any children of their own.
Throughout her life, Joy dedicated herself to helping others as a guidance counselor. She possessed a rare ability to empathize, understand, and guide those who sought her counsel. Her presence in the lives of countless individuals brought solace and direction during their most challenging times.
On August 9, 2023, Joy peacefully departed from this world, surrounded by her loved ones. Cancer, a relentless adversary, was the cause of her untimely demise. Despite the pain she endured, she faced her illness with courage, grace, and unwavering strength.
Joy will be remembered as a compassionate and empathetic soul, always willing to lend an ear or offer a kind word. Her warm smile and soothing voice brought comfort to all who were fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire others for generations to come.
In this sorrowful time, we extend our deepest condolences to Steven Martin Walters, her loving husband, as well as her extended family and friends who are grieving her loss. May the memories of Joy's kindness and compassion provide solace and comfort during this difficult period. Let us remember her as a shining light that brightened the lives of those around her.

Rest in peace, dear Joy. Your memory will forever live on in our hearts.
