Williams, 99, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017, at Dogwood Bend Assisted Living.Josephine was born on November 26, 1917, in Cerulean, KY to the late Joseph H. Smith and Bertha Fort Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Earl Williams, Sr.; two sisters, Rowena Carter and Margaret Gilliland; and brother, James L. Smith.Mrs. Williams was a retired audit supervisor at Sears, and she was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel, with Bro. Jerry Steele officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 15, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, and Thursday, March 16, from 9:00 AM until the hour of service, at the funeral home. Josephine is survived by three sons, George E. (Lyn) Williams, Jr. of Brisbane, Australia, James (Shela) Williams of Bumpus Mills, TN, and Joseph E. (Barb) Williams of Clarksville; daughter, Jo Ann (Norman) England of Cunningham, TN; two sisters, Rosalie McCuiston of Glasgow, KY and Louise Metzger of Louisville, KY; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several beloved nieces and nephews; and special friend, Tommy Channel of Nashville.
