Elizabeth Josephine (Aquino) Kenter of Ormond Beach, FL and Long Island, NY, passed away on November 10, 2016 at the age of 104. She was born on February 10, 1912 to Marianna (Angione) and Joseph Aquino of Norwalk, CT where she resided for many years after graduating from Norwalk High School in 1931. Betty, as she was known by family and friends, was predeceased by her husband Philip Kenter after 73 years of marriage; her parents and siblings Vincent Aquino and Josephine (Aquino) Mears, both of Norwalk, CT. She studied music and later taught piano many years. Betty volunteered most of her time to Cancer Care, B'nai B'rith and Hadassah of Long Island, NY. She enjoyed politics and playing mahjong, bingo and was active to the end. She is survived by their two children, Philip J. (Mary) Kenter and Rochelle (Richard) Holtz, five grandchildren, Dr. Philip E. (Regina) Kenter, Dennis G. (Connie) Kenter, Kevin M. (Aneta), Jennifer Holtz, Esq., Rabbi Jason (Jodi) Holtz and six great-grandchildren Dennis, Philip, Christopher, Ashley, Justin and Katie Kenter plus several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held graveside next to her husband at Greenwood Cemetery, Daytona Beach, FL, Wednesday, November 16th at 12 Noon.
