Ravanelli, Josephine A.Josephine A. Ravanelli, 93 years old, of Mayville, WI, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at the Hope Health and Rehab Center in Lomira.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville with Rev. Fr. Tom Biersack presiding. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will take place at St. Mary Cemetery in Mayville.Josephine was born on March 6, 1923 in Iron Ridge, WI. the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Breitkruetz) Hechemovich. She was united in marriage to Nicholas M. Ravanelli on October 17, 1942 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville. With her husband Nicholas, the family farmed in the township of Herman. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville and was also a member of the Mayville Senior Center. She was a member of the Iron Ridge Golden Youth Card Club. In her spare time Josephine enjoyed gardening and puzzles.Josephine is survived by: her children- Dale (Judy) Ravanelli of Mayville and Mary (Tom) Barnes of Hartford. Her sister- Frances Flegner of Oshkosh. 11 grandchildren- Jeff (Carol) Strupp, Alan (Amy) Strupp, Randy (Jodi) Strupp, Angie (Andy) Loosen, John (Carmen) Ravanelli, Dean (Shelly) Ravanelli, Tom (Special friend Stephanie) Ravanelli, Tim (Lisa) Ravanelli, Crystal Ravanelli, Kari (Kyle) Allison, and Nick (Special friend Mellisa) Barnes. 18 great grandchildren- Zach, Emma, Brandon, Ashley, Abby, Breanna, Trevor, Tyler, Olivia, Paul, Ally, Bryce, Brylee, Caleb, Dominick, Joey, Makenna, and Keegan. She was further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Nicholas, daughter Virjean, and her sisters and brothers.Memorials may be directed to St. Mary Catholic Church and St. Mary Catholic School.Special thanks to Agnesian Hospice and Hope Health and Rehab for their wonderful care and support shown to Josephine and her family.Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville is serving the family.
