Joseph H. Hubbard, 90MUNCIE - Joseph H. Hubbard, 90, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2016 at Signature Health Care.He was born on June 26, 1926 in Muncie, the son of Asa and India (Smith) Hubbard.After high school, he joined the United States Navy, where he served during World War II. He worked as a glass worker for Ball Brother's for several years, later in life he worked at Muncie Gear. Joseph married the love of his life, Betty Martin in 1946 and together they raised seven children and one grandson.Joseph enjoyed painting, working on cars, and collecting pipes. He also enjoyed watching movies and reading the bible.  Survivors include his wife of seventy years, Betty Hubbard; children, Vaughn Hubbard (wife, Rhonda), Linda Jones, David Hubbard (wife, Janice), Keith Hubbard (wife, Donna), Richard Hubbard, Debbie Teague (husband, John), and grandson, Tony Hubbard (wife, Kimberly); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and brother, Gordon R. Hubbard.  He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Ellen Kay Hubbard.Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel.Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday at the mortuary.Online condolences may be directed to the family at www.meeksmortuary.com
