It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Joseph Clarence Callahan, Jr., age 75, originally of Bunkie, Louisiana and residing in Shreveport, Louisiana. Joe passed away at his residence on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 11:25 p.m. His family was at his side at the time of his departure from this life.

Joe was the oldest child of Joseph Callahan, Sr. and Bernice Callahan. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Debra and Carmen.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy; two children, Benjamin and Carrie; his brother, Clark; and grandchildren, Walker, Lola and West; stepchildren, Jason Huguet, Nicki Boutte and Adam Carter; 6 step-grandchildren and 2 step-greatgrandchildren. 

Visitation is on Tuesday, July 27th, 2021 at Sibille Funeral Home Of Opelousas, LA, commencing at 11:00 am. A Memorial Service will be at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Another Memorial Service will be held in Marion, OH, at Snyder Funeral Homes, Denzer Chapel

Joe will be sadly missed. He was a friend and entrepreneur, a father and grandfather, a husband and last but not least, a legend.

The family wants to thank the Lourdes Hospice and his private nurses, Alana Mayo and Shawn Kennison.
