Josefa Velez, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at the age of 99.

She was born on August 4, 1925, to parents Wilberto and Maria, and was raised with a strong sense of family and community. In 1960, she married the love of her life, Juan Velez, and together they raised two loving children, Jose and Papo.

Josefa dedicated her life to her family, working tirelessly as a stay-at-home mom and actively participating in Church organizations. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith.

Josefa was awarded the prestigious Best Mom award for her selfless dedication to her family and community. She was a talented cook and loved spending time with her loved ones, sharing stories and laughs around the dinner table.

She is survived by her loving husband Juan, her devoted children Jose (Sarah) and Papo (Ingrid), and their cherished grandchild. Josefa will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
