Jose E. "Nino" Trujillo, 70, a lifetime resident of Rociada, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2016, in Albuquerque.He was born on Feb. 14, 1946, in Rociada to his parents, Margarito Trujillo and Aurora Chavez Trujillo.A Catholic, he attended Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas. Jose loved to play the guitar. He was also former chief and a member of the Sapello and Rociada Fire Department. He worked at the Pendaries Village Resort for the past 30 years.He was preceded in death by his parents, Margarito and Aurora Trujillo; daughter, RoseAnn Vigil; sister, Ambrosita Gallegos, and brother, Alfonso Trujillo.He is survived by his loving wife, Bernadette A. Trujillo, of the family home; daughters, Ruthann Harrington (Jessie) and Josephine Sandoval (Andrew), all of La Junta, Colo.; son, Joseph Trujillo of Pueblo, Colo.; 14 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Margarito Trujillo Jr. of Garden Grove, Calif., Charlie Trujillo and companion, Sadie, and Floyd Trujillo and companion, Carmen, all of Rociada, Virginia Gonzales of Rociada, Gloria Gonzales of Questa, Petra Trujillo of Rociada, and Margaret Smith (Dave) of Las Vegas; mother-in-law, Ida Martinez, of Rociada; brothers-in-law, Joe Pete Martinez of Albuquerque, Jose Luis Martinez (Jan) of Littleton, Colo.; sisters-in-law, Kathy King (Eddie) Las Vegas, and Christine Silva of Rociada; brother-in-law, Jonathan Martinez (Angela) of Rociada; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.Rosary services were held at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas. Funeral service will be conducted at 9 a.m. today (Friday) also at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with Father Douglas Mitchell as celebrant. Interment will follow at the Trujillo Family Cemetery in Rociada with the following serving as casket bearers: Jeremy Trujillo, Dion Gonzales, Marvin Valencia, Dennis Gonzales, Enrique De Herrera and Phillip Vigil.
