Jose Castro, a resident of Las Vegas, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.He was born on June 4, 1950 in Texas to his parents, Pedro Castro and Feliciana Castro Campa.Jose had a big heart and helped raise his children and grandchildren in any kind of way. He is survived by his wife, Helen Castro of the family home; children, Carmen Martinez, Chris Castro, Jessica Salazar, Sherry Alvarado and husband, Antonio, Tina Juarez and Jessie Abeyta; 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; numerous brothers, sisters, other relatives and friends.Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Mountain View Fellowship Church at 201 Mountain View Drive in Las Vegas, with Pastor Carlos Duran officiating. Cremation has taken place and burial of cremains will be held at a later date.
