Jonathan Shane Coffman, 62, passed away on June 21, 2025, in Pontoon Beach, Illinois. Born on May 27, 1963, in Cleveland, Ohio, he lived a life marked by dedication to his craft, love for his family, and a spirited sense of humor that left a lasting impression on those who knew him.
A proud second-generation Ironworker, Jonathan devoted over 30 years to the trade. His commitment to hard work and craftmanship reflected not only his professional skill but also the legacy of his father before him. Jonathan was known for his ambition and quick wit.
He found joy in the company of his sons - Daniel Garnett, Lukas Coffman, Bruce Coffman and his grandchildren - Mikey Garnett, Gunner Garnett, Nova Garnett and Brielle Coffman. He is survived by his sisters Zonna Eads and Cristina Coffman. He was preceded in death by his mother Bethel Luzader, father Johnnie Coffman, and sister Sherry Sorocki.
Later in life, Jonathan found peace and fulfillment in the Philippines - a place he came to call home. It was there that he discovered a renewed sense of happiness and belonging.
