We announce with heavy hearts the passing of Jonathan Guyton, born on April 7, 1947, and taken from us on January 9, 2026, in Jackson, Mississippi, United States. He was the beloved son of Jonathan and Darlene Guyton.

In 1982, he married Carla Guyton and together they raised three wonderful children: Jonathan Jr Michael Guyton with spouse Grace Guyton, Daniela Marry Hernandez with spouse Carlos Hernandez, and Dakota Hazel Miller with spouse Henry Miller. He was also the proud grandfather of five grandchildren.

Jonathan spent his childhood in Jackson, attending Lanier High School and graduating in 1963. He had a passion for reading the Bible and spent many hours immersed in its teachings. It could be pouring rain and 45 degrees outside and he would still sit on the front porch swing and read his bible.

Jonathan had a scripture for any situation to encourage family and friends

Jonathan will be remembered for his kindness, his love for his family, and his unwavering faith. He brought light and joy to all those around him and will be deeply missed.

He passed away due to a sudden heart attack, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion that will be cherished forever.
