On February 17, 2025, Orlando, Florida, United States, said goodbye to a beloved member of its community, Jon Pitchford. Born on May 6, 1955, to Henry and Nell Pitchford, Jon leaves behind a legacy that will be remembered for generations to come.

Jon was a devoted father to his three children, Jonise, Tomeajoy, and Erica. He was also a loving grandfather to 10 grandchildren, who brought joy and laughter into his life.

After studying at Murray Wright High School, Jon went on to work at the State of Michigan, where he made a lasting impact on his colleagues and the community. His dedication and hard work were evident in all that he did.

Outside of work, Jon had a passion for jazz music, basketball, and football. He found solace and joy in these hobbies, and they brought him great satisfaction throughout his life.

Tragically, Jon's life was cut short by cancer. Despite his illness, he faced each day with strength and courage, inspiring all who knew him.

Jon Pitchford will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his memory live on in the hearts of his loved ones forever.
