Johnny William WhitworthAshland City, TNJohnny William Whitworth, 71, of Ashland City, TN, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2017, at his residence.Johnny was born on September 20, 1946, in Montgomery County, TN to the late Harvey W. Whitworth and Ruby Smith Whitworth. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. at the Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Brother Johnny Trail, Brother Cliett Goodpasture, and his grandchildren officiating. Burial will be at Stewart-Rinehart Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2017, from 4:00-8:00 p.m., with a Masonic Service at 7:00 p.m. and Monday, October 2, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.Johnny retired after 41 years as a Quality Control Technician with State Industries. He was a member of Ionic Masonic Lodge #254.Johnny is survived by two daughters, Laurie Ann (Jeff) Yates of Adams, TN and Brittnye Kay Cox (Charles Austin) of Clarksville, TN; three step-children, David Hargrove, Jr., Crystal Mesick, and Gina Miller; brother, James Felix Whitworth; four grandchildren, Michael (Megan) Yates, Kayla Yates, Justin Yates, and Lane Cox; several step-grandchildren; and lifelong friends, Kay C. Rinehart, Janice Hargrove, and Janet Whitworth.Pallbearers will be Jeff Yates, Michael Yates, Justin Yates, Lane Cox, David Hargrove, Jr., Eli Binkley, Steve Holt, and Wayne Yates.
