Johnny Tapia, born on June 11, 1960, has ridden off into the sunset on August 4, 2025. He was the beloved son of Clifford Ziegler and Bridgette Hernandez and leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter.

Johnny was a proud father of 9+ children: Johnny Jessie Ziegler Jr, Johnesha Ziegler, J’waun Ziegler, Jai’shaun Ziegler, Kailani Ziegler, Kiaunna Porter, Latiaunna Porter, Keondre Edwards, and La’Keyia Edwards. He also had 10+ grandchildren who will cherish his memory forever.

Known for his work as a street pharmacist, Johnny had a knack for making people feel better, one way or another. In his free time, he enjoyed listening to music and cruising around in any vehicle he could get his hands on.

Unfortunately, Johnny's journey came to an end after multiple strokes and amputations starting at the toes to below the knees due to diabetes complications and infections. He bravely fought the flu while on an oxygen tank for 4 months, a bed sore the size of his lower back, all while experiencing multiple cases of hypoglycemia.

Though Johnny may have left this world, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Rest in peace, Johnny Tapia. Keep on bumping those oldies in that great big sky.
