Johnny Carter, of Jackson, Mississippi, passed away on November 14, 2025, at the age of 61. He was born on May 8, 1964, to Robert and Mae Anna Carter.

Johnny is survived by his three children, Garrick Sr., Chris, and Jaylen, along with their spouses and six grandchildren. He was a loving father and grandfather who always put family first.

Johnny attended Jackson High School before continuing his studies at Shorter College, where he graduated in 1995. He was a dedicated member of the Boys & Girls Club organization, where he volunteered his time to help children in need.

In his free time, Johnny enjoyed reading, fishing, and spending quality time with his loved ones. He will be remembered for his warm smile, kind heart, and infectious laugh.

Johnny's passing was a result of a sudden heart attack. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
