Johnnie Taylor, beloved resident of Violet, Louisiana, passed away on January 8, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on March 31, 1944, Johnnie lived a full and vibrant life filled with love, laughter, and joy.

Johnnie was a hardworking landscaper who dedicated many years to his craft before retiring in 2021. He found great joy in tending to gardens and transforming outdoor spaces into works of art.

When he wasn't busy working, Johnnie could often be found at the racetrack, cheering on his favorite horses as they thundered down the track. He had a passion for the sport and loved nothing more than watching the excitement unfold before his eyes.

Johnnie leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him. He is survived by his partner, Kellilee Baptiste, his 9 children, and alot of grandchildren .

Though Johnnie may no longer be with us, his spirit lives on in the memories we hold dear. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the beauty of the gardens he tended with such care.
