On Thursday, September 9, 2021, God decided to call home an angel by the name of Johnathan Kilgore. He was also known as “Hamp”. Johnathan was born December 23, 1962, to Joseph Kilgore and Jessie Watts in Atlanta, Georgia. Johnathan grew up in the West End, he went to Brown High School and proudly received his GED from Atlanta Area Technical College.

Johnathan was a dedicated father, son, brother, cousin, uncle, and friend. Johnathan was always there to help those in need by contributing and doing whatever he could to make the situation better; he loved people and was always smiling. Jonathan was a jack of all trades, some of Johnathan’s hobbies included being a Dj, and working with the youth department. One thing was certain Jonathan was the sharpest dressed in a room.

Johnathan’s mother Jessie Watts, his father Joseph Kilgore, his two sisters Marsha Kilgore-Frances, and Audrey Kilgore-Cobb preceded him in death. Johnathan is survived by his son Johnathan Kilgore Jr. and his daughter Jan’Teria Kilgore; four other sisters, Geraldine Kilgore, Bernice Kilgore-Bradford, Elaine Kilgore-Brown, and Racine Kilgore; and two brothers Gregory Kilgore, and James Kilgore; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
