Vitiello, John James.John "JJ" James Vitiello, 19, lifetime resident of Stamford, passed away November 19, 2016, doing what he loved most, hunting in Goshen, CT. He was born on March 5, 1997 in Stamford, CT, the son of Carmine Jr. and Erin (Betsos) Vitiello. He attended Cloonan Middle School, where he was a member of the varsity football team and graduated from Westhill High School in 2015, where he took part in ROTC. He was an outdoorsman, avid hunter, fisherman and music enthusiast. He was a member of the congregation at St Leo Parish in Stamford. JJ is survived by his parents, Carmine and Erin of Stamford, and his older brothers, Ryan of Jersey City and Anthony of Stamford. He also leaves behind his paternal grandparents, Carmine Sr. and Maria Vitiello, who live in Trumbull. Predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Peter J. Betsos, Esq. and Dolores E. Betsos. He is also survived by Godparents, Mike and Angela Romeo, his beloved dogs Spike and kenai, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Saturday, November 26th, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Leo Parish, 24 Roxbury Road Stamford. Interment will follow in Long Ridge Union Cemetery Erskine Road Stamford. Visiting hours will be held Friday, November 25th, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Leo P.
