John Stephens, beloved husband of Mary J. Stephens, passed away on March 21, 2026 at the age of 83 in Tabor City, North Carolina. He was born on August 17, 1942 and spent his life spreading love and joy to all those around him.

John was a dedicated member of the Baptist Church of Zion, where he volunteered his time and talents to help those in need. His kindness and generosity touched the lives of many, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his work at the church, John was a devoted father to his five children - Adam, Phillip, Matthew, Sarah, and Rachael. His love for his family knew no bounds, and he was always there to offer guidance, support, and a listening ear.
