John Robert "Bob" BollingerZANESVILLE: John Robert "Bob" Bollinger 79, of Zanesville passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2016. Bob was born on December 30, 1936 in Muskingum County to the late Laurence and Bernadette Bollinger. He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and graduated from Rosecrans High School. Bob received an associate degree from the Meredith Business College and attended Ohio University Athens for a brief time. He worked for Perry Wiles Distributing Company for over 30 years. Bob then transitioned to the Licking County Sheriff's Department as a Communications Specialist and retired from there after 12 years of service. He served in many organizations over his lifetime. He was a member of the West Muskingum Lions Club, Fraternal Order of Police Association, and was on the East Muskingum Water Board for 25 years. Bob was also a Past President of the Zanesville Jaycees.Bob is survived by his wife Marsha Bollinger of the home; daughter; Robin Moore of Zanesville, sons; Jeff (Lisa) Bollinger of Tipp City, Doug (Melissa) Bollinger of Dublin and daughter; Pam (Craig) Carlisle of Pickerington; his brother; Dr. Laurence Bollinger of Michigan/Naples; sister; Mary Ann Pollock of Mansfield; and his sister-in-law Barbara (David) Bell of Zanesville; Bob had eight grandchildren; Joe Young, Ryan Bollinger, Nicholas Bollinger, Sam Bollinger, Austin Bollinger, Zac Carlisle, Alex Moore and Jenna Carlisle and five great-grand children.
