John Mattingly, beloved son of Osborne and Henrietta Mattingly, was born on May 29, 1953, in Bryson City, North Carolina, United States.

John passed away on February 20, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and warmth.

John worked at CRC Railroad for many years and retired in 2001. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his job.

Outside of work, John had a passion for billiards and was an avid player. He spent many hours perfecting his game and enjoying the camaraderie of his fellow players.

Although John did not have any children of his own, he touched the lives of many with his kindness, generosity, and sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Rest in peace, John Mattingly. You will always be remembered and cherished in our hearts.
