John Patrick McIntyre 1931 - 2016NEW HARTFORD - John Patrick McIntyre, 85, of New Hartford, died on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at Faxton St. Luke's Healthcare.He was born on September 12, 1931, in Minneapolis, MN, a son of the late Robert and Ruth Gowan McIntyre. Pat graduated from Minneapolis High School and continued his education at St. John's University, in Collegeville, MN, but was interrupted by the Korean War and spent the next four years in the US Navy's Helicopter Corps. Pat married Judith Watland on September 14, 1957, in Albert Lee, MN, and he worked as an International Sales Rep for several companies.Pat was very talented and creative and built his own home after the style of Norwegian Stave Churches. He enjoyed farming, raising hogs and bee keeping. At one time, ceramics was his passion.He is survived by his wife, Judith McIntyre; sons, Perry, Richard and Tony, all residing on the West Coast; several grandchildren; and a sister, Melissa Connolly Filbin and husband, Dennis.There will be no services.
