John Lucas Smith, 37Indianapolis - John Lucas Smith 37, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2017, unexpectantly at the Community North Hospital. He was born on April 1, 1980 in Muncie, the son of Randy and Mary (Brand) Smith.Mr. Smith had obtained an Associate of Arts Degree in business and was working for Geico Insurance Company as a Sales Supervisor. John had married the love of his life Geralda (Martial) Smith on November 3, 2013 in Miami, Florida and she survives. He was known to perform card tricks, magic tricks, and enjoyed doing comedy. Mr. Smith enjoyed golfing as well. Mostly, John was a family man and treasured the times he could spend with them.Besides his wife of four years, Geralda, he is survived by his one year old son, Xavier Alexander Smith; his parents, Randy Smith (wife-Robin), Farmland and Mary Smith, Muncie; one sister, Jessica Blake (husband-Bradley), Muncie; two step sisters, Katie and Melissa Haney, both of Muncie; two nephews, Samuel and Alexander Blake, Muncie; Paternal grandmother, Patricia Smith, Dunkirk; mother-in-law, Rose Martial, Orlando, Florida; his best friend, Cevin Abrahms (wife-Lauren), Indianapolis; a whole host of extended family members, friends and work associates.He is preceded in death by his Paternal grandfather, Robert Smith; his Maternal Grandparents, Fred and Marty Brand.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, 10:00 a.m. at the Parson Mortuary with Pastor officiating.
