John Penister, 65, of Houston, Texas, passed on January 03, 2021. John was born on May 19, 1955 in Sherrill, Arkansas.

In 1980, Mr. John Penister married Ms. Anita Buie in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

John was a man of many trades and skills, working at St. Joseph's Hospital, St. Joseph Radiology and in IT, and had his own lawn service before retiring. He began attending the Institute of Divine Metaphysical Research in the 70's in Arkansas where he was a fervent student and a faithful member and teacher. John encouraged everyone to look within and trust in the Heavenly Father... this is where his enduring smile came from.

John was preceeded in death by his mother, Arnett (Barbee) Moore; father, Corinthans Penister; five brothers: Loius Penister, Robert Charles Davis, Leon Harris, LeRoy Penister, and Rickey Moore; and, three sisters: Nora Ann Bryant, Bobbie Jean Murphy, and Louise Hunter-Walker.

John leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Anita Penister; two sons: Christopher Penister and Jonathan Penister; one sister, Florence McClinton; five grandchildren: Christian Penister, Kadaebrion Penister, Jameer Penister, Jayde Bradley and Skylar Penister, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
