It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Oliver, born on June 7, 1934, in Charleston, South Carolina, United States. He passed away on January 24, 2025.
John was the beloved son of James Mosel Oliver and Jessie Mae Oliver, and the partner of Valerie Oliver Mitchell Oliver Garry. Together, they had five children: Valerie Oliver, Mitchell Oliver, Gwendolyn Oliver, Annie Oliver, and John Oliver Jr.
John also leaves behind ten grandchildren, whose names we withhold out of respect for the family's privacy.
John was known for his passion for working on cars, a hobby that brought him great joy throughout his life. His dedication to his family and friends will be deeply missed, and he will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and love.
May John Oliver rest in peace, and may his memory live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
