LAGRANGE — John A. Fry, 68, of LaGrange, died at 12:25 am on Saturday, October 1, at Parkview LaGrange Hospital. He had been ill one month with cancer. He was born on October 17, 1947 in LaGrange, to John E. and Donna (Sherer) Fry. On October 26, 1968 in Rome City, he married Margaret Schmidt, she survives. Survivors in addition to his wife are two daughters, Gina (Toby) Champion of Orland, Nikole (Nicholas) Byroad of Shipshewana; three sons, Chris (Karen Brothers) Fry of Justin, TX, Trevor (Stephanie) Fry of Wolcottville, Tyler (Megan) Fry of LaGrange; 13 grandchildren- Jarred, Kelsie and Emma Leggett, Hadlee and Hayden Fry, Brody and Brayden Brothers, Kylie and Emily Fry, Hunter and Oliva Fry, Evan and Keanan Byroad; sister, Jeanne (Ray) McKercher of Sturgis, MI; four brothers, James Fry, Vern (Karen) Fry, and Ronnie (Retha) Fry all of LaGrange, Tony Fry of Constantine, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Roseanna Wise and Cecelia Myers. He worked at Coachmen Industries for 43 years.
