John Louis Ewbank, 62, passed away surrounded by family on Friday April 14, 2017. John was born on August 25, 1954 in Norman, Oklahoma to Walter and Kathryn (Bauer) Ewbank. He was married to Erika Wood on September 11, 1981 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. John received a degree in Computer Science from the University of New Mexico in 1988. He and Erika moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico later that year. John was a loving father, husband, and friend. He is much loved and will be greatly missed. John is survived by his wife Erika Ewbank, his daughters Megan Ewbank and Jonelle Ewbank-Houpt, his son-in-law Adam Houpt, his sister Jana Pereau and her husband Stuart Yoak, his sister Bobby Crook and her husband Burton Crook, his brother James Ewbank, and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members. John's family will be holding a celebration of his life on Saturday May 6, 2017. It will be held at the Ewbank home from 3 pm to 6 pm.
