John Eli Bennett Obituary

Jan 10, 1983 - Dec 11, 2021

This obituary is administered by:

John Bennett, 38, of , , passed on December 11, 2021. John was born on January 10, 1983.

It breaks my heart to say that our precious son and brother, Eli has
been transferred from this life to be with his Heavenly Father and
several loved ones on the other side.

John Eli Bennett , 38, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday December 11th 2021 in Layton, Utah from a pulmonary embolism.

He
was born to Christopher Bennett and Marlis Ann Fabert Bennett eleven
minutes before his twin brother, Jeremiah Levi on October 28, 1983 in
St. George, Utah.

This loss takes on an even deeper impact because they are identical twins.

He
and his "womb-mate" Levi were the very closest of brothers and friends
and were always there for one another, literally no matter what. They
shared a lot of TWIN experiences through the years.

Eli grew up
in Washington City, Utah. He was the 5th of 6 children and always VERY
loved. He was the sweetest, most thoughtful soul. He was funny beyond
funny and could do the greatest impressions. He LOVED movies, music,
John Travolta and Robert DeNiro. He had a huge heart and the biggest
love for all of us. He was very thoughtful and considerate of his
mother. He called me "Mama Bear" and I will always treasure that
nickname. What I wouldn't give to have a big ole bear hug from Eli right
now! Or, for he and his twin and I to go on our Wednesday breakfast
"muffin run" another time like we did when they were in Jr. High School!

I
am more than thankful and honored that our Heavenly Father entrusted ME
to be he and his five siblings lucky Mom. Although things were really
hard and challenging at times, it was the most fun of times for all of
us growing up together! Although his given name was Eli, he liked to be
called Elijah.

Eli really liked baseball when he was a kid. We
had a lot of fun as a family at the ball park every spring with all of
the boys, Becca and even Mom playing on ball teams. He used to worry a
lot when he was growing up. Although at the time it could get really
annoying; he just wanted everything to be perfect for all of us and
things to go the way we said they'd go. I will always treasure that
little memory.

I will always remember when he and I went to Las
Vegas to buy his very first car. He was SO PROUD of that car and working
at Applebee's with the many friends that he had made in order to pay
for it was huge for him.

In 2003 Eli had a misfortunate skydiving
accident that tragically broke both of his legs. He has suffered
multitudes of pain and discomfort since that time. He has always dealt
with it amazingly well, always with that big smile on his face.

He even jumped out of an airplane one more time since his accident, to prove that he could! What a super hero!!

His
passing has oddly blessed us and made us realize what we as a family
really have together. We all love you so very much Eli. Words do not
exist for the emotions we feel at this time.

Eli is survived by
his mother, Marlis Bennett-Eyre and husband (Bradley), five siblings:
Benjamin (Cossondra) Warren of Washington City, Utah; Rebecca Warren of
St. George, Utah; Joshua (Kathryn) Warren of Bozeman, Montana; Jacob
Warren of St. George, Utah and Levi Warren of St. George, Utah.

He and his siblings were also blessed with a step-mother, Mercedes Bennett
of St. George, a half-brother, Christopher (Tori Lea) Warren of St.
George and a bonus step brother, Tommy (Jessica) Salisbury of St.
George.

His nieces and nephews: Jevin (Shay) of Salt Lake City;
Alex and Emma Warren, of St. George; Anthony and Ellie Warren of
Bozeman, Montana and Declan Levi Bennett of Salt Lake City, Utah; Blaise
and Wolfgang Warren of St. George; Aiden, Quinn and Ruby Salisbury are
all very sad at the loss of their uncle Eli.

Eli also has three
Other siblings, Floyd Bennett, Emily Bennett, Sarah Bennett, who are
mourning his loss as well. He has many aunts and uncles who are
heartbroken at this time.

We know that Eli is in good company to
welcome him with open arms. He is pre-deceased by his father Christopher
Barr Bennett (2012), his grandpa and grandma Bennett, grandpa and grandma
Fabert, his grandma JoAnn Fabert Downey, also a few cousins and other
family members.

Graveside services will be held December 12, 2021
at 12:30 pm at the Washington City Cemetery. 300 Park View Drive (300
East) in Washington City.

A CELEBRATION of LIFE will follow at
2:00 p.m. at The Washington City Historic Relief Society Hall; 100 West
