John Edward KellyREPUBLIC: John Edward Kelly, 77, of Republic passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at his daughter's home. He was born on January 3, 1940 in Fremont to Jack and Gladys (Grills) Kelly. John was a 1958 Ross High School graduate. He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1958-1962 in the Mediterranean. For many years, John delivered bread for Wonder Bread and he retired in 1997. John loved bowling, fishing, golfing, and gambling. In his spare time, he enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, watching sports, westerns movies and drinking beer.Surviving are his children, Kim Casebier of Clyde, OH, Micki (Dennis King) Kelly of Helenwood, TN, Kathi Bailey of Jenera, OH, Bobbie (Dan Brown) Hicks of Clyde, OH, and Angie (James) Green of Republic, OH; 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and sister Margaret (Ray) Arndt of Mansfield, OH.He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry Kelly and granddaughter, Jessica Kline.Visitation will be held on Monday, June 12, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont where a Memorial Service with Military Rites will begin at 11:00 a.m.Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Angela Green.To send an online condolence visit: www.hermanfh.com
