John P. Dixon Jr., 64, passed on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 surrounded by his family. John was born on April 4, 1953 in Richmond, VA and moved to El Paso with his family in 1996. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Etta Dixon. He is survived by his wife of 30 years Cathy, sons John M. and his wife Betsabe, Brandon, and his precious granddaughter Kaylee. John leaves behind two sisters, Sherry Fleet and her husband Kenneth, Elaine Dean and her husband Bill South, "sister"-in-law Donna Ballard and partner Celia Shaunessy, "brother"-in-law David Ballard and his wife Diane and their daughter (niece) Bryce. He leaves behind three special four legged friends, Gracie, Toula, and "best bud" Wilson, (three treasured little friends who were abandoned and found love and security with him) as well as so many cherished friends and acquaintances that will dearly miss him. A Memorial Services will be held at 10:00am Saturday, July 8th, 2017 at First Baptist Church, 17018 Darrington Road, Horizon City, TX 79928 with a reception to follow.
