John David Foster, known for his infectious laughter, tireless work ethic, and unwavering love for his family, passed away peacefully on July 9th, 2024. Born on December 15th,1963, John brought an authentic and outgoing personality to every room, lighting up gatherings and leaving an impression on everyone he met.
John was a devoted family man. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 33 years: Kathleen Foster, and their children: son, Joseph Foster (Leticia Foster); step-son, Alan Sudol (Jennifer Sudol); daughters, Amanda Foster (Jason Harmel) and Emilia Foster. His nine grandchildren, Makayla, Matthew, Lilliana, Samuel, Christiana, Joseph, John Daniel, Madylin, and Kayden, will forever cherish the memories of their playful and loving Papa John. John is also survived by his mother, Shirley Foster, brother, Charles Foster, and numerous nieces and nephews.
John is preceded in death by his father, also named John Foster, his brother, Ronald Foster, and his granddaughter, Audree Foster. Their memories and absences were always held close to John's heart and they are now reunited in peace.
John faced life's challenges with resilience and positivity. He taught those around him not to sweat the small stuff, always finding a way to make them laugh. His greatest source of pride was the family he built – a testament to his nurturing spirit. Though taken too soon, his legacy lives on in the hearts he touched and the lessons he imparted.
The silence of his laugh, the void of his presence, will be felt by many but the legacy he left behind will forever live on. Our hearts are heavy for the loss, yet filled with gratitude for the time we were able to have with him. He will be missed dearly.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service at Hillcrest Funeral Home. You may join the family for the livestreaming of the prayer service at the following link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaVJ-_OOv6eXfc4Wh5SQ-NQ
