Manchester-John D Mourao, 89, died at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home on November 1, 2016 with his family by his side. He was born on December 27, 1926 to the late Manuel and Rose Mourao in Manchester, NH and lived there all his life.John served in the United States Navy and was discharged in April, 1946. After his discharge from the Navy, he went to work on construction, the International Tannery, and last of all, Public Service Company where he ended up retiring after many years.He married the love of his life, Wanda Oczykowski, on June 28, 1947. They were married for 69 loving years.John is survived by his loving sister, Ilda, and many nieces and nephews. He also is predeceased by his brother, Tony Mourao.A Christian Mass will be celebrated for both John and his wife, who passed away on October 14, 2016, at St. Hedwig's Church in Manchester on November 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Hedwig's Cemetery in Bedford.Go to www.durningbykowskiandyoung.com for on-line condolences.
