Contreras, 57, of Kenosha passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, surrounded by his loving family.John was born on Feb. 11, 1960, in Plainview, Tex., the son of the late Jose and Maria (Perez) Contreras. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha. John married Yvonne Garcia on July 3, 1999, in Kenosha. He owned & operated Contreras Tax Service for many years. John was a member of Parkway Apostolic Church of Oak Creek. His hobbies included fishing, golfing, cheering for the Packers, playing the saxophone at church, and most of all spending time with family & friends, especially his children and grandchildren.Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Contreras of Kenosha; children, Stephanie (Ishamel) Torres of Kenosha, John Contreras Jr. of Kenosha, Maricela Noyola of Kenosha, Miguel (Paulina) Noyola of Tex.; brother, Jimmie (Janie) Contreras of Tex.; sisters, Elvia Hernandez of Kenosha, Maria Gonzalez of Kenosha, Stella Ynosencio of Tex., Vasilia (Rafael) Escobedo of Kenosha, Maria de Jesus (Casper) Evangelista of Tex.; and ten grandchildren.
