John Charles Feuerstein RACINE – John Charles Feuerstein, 77, passed away at home on Monday, June 13, 2016. John was born on February 22, 1939 to John and Irene (nee, Horvath) Feuerstein. On November 14, 1964, John married the former Diane Zelkowski in Detroit, MI. John graduated from Purdue University in 1960. He was Sales Manager for the International Division of Racine Hydraulics for 31 years, following which he was a consultant for Hydra Force in Illinois. John was an avid car enthusiast. He co-owned a Sprint Car from 1961 until 1972 and was a member of the Burlington Car Club. He enjoyed playing cards, pool, softball, baseball, hunting and coaching his childrens sports. He also loved bowling, accomplishing two 300 games and golfing, including a hole-in-one. Survivors include his wife, Diane Feuerstein; sons, John Feuerstein, Kurt (Susie) Feuerstein and Erik (Jenny) Feuerstein; grandchildren, Matthew, Marissa, Jessica, Nathan, Patrick, Briana, Sophie and Charlie; and his sister, Rose (Don) Schmitt. John is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, MaryAnn. A funeral Mass for John will be held at St. Rita’s Parish, 4339 Douglas Avenue, on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 11 a.m. celebrated by Rev. Richard A. Young, O.S.A. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 4 until 7 p.m. and at the church on Friday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Froedtert Hospital Foundation, Clinical Cancer Center.
