John Anthony Reyes Jr aka Baby Anthony, passed away on March 18, 2022, at the age of 21. Anthony was born on January 18, 2001, in Fort Worth, Texas to his parents John Reyes and Claudia Sanchez. Growing up he was notorious for taking selfies in the mirror with just his cellphone camera but in the beginning of 2021, he bought his first professional camera and found a passion in photography. He began his journey to becoming a professional photographer and even did gigs such as homecoming, birthdays and eventually concerts to performers such as Caskey and Z-Ro. He was very proud of his work and accomplishments and posted his images on his Instagram Kast_A_Shot. Anthony enjoyed playing Call of Duty, you would often find him setting up his TV and PlayStation anywhere he went along with his gaming headphones; if you saw his set up it was a prewarning of the passionate rage that was coming. Anthony became a proud uncle on December 22, 2021, to Athena. He was always so excited to see her and would Facetime his sister every day to talk to her. Anthony had plans to move with his Aunt and Uncle in Austin to begin his career with Tesla in April. This was something huge that he was looking forward to. Anthony was a very fun and energetic person that knew how to put a smile on everyone’s face. He had a sweet and pure soul with a one-of-a-kind personality. If Anthony could talk to us now, he would say “Please don’t cry for me, you’ll see me again one day”, he never wanted anyone to worry about him. Although Anthony’s life was tragically cut short at the age of 21, he lived his life to the fullest making ever-lasting memories with everyone around him. We’ll always remember him with his contagious smile and doing anything and everything to make his family happy.
Anthony is survived by his Father, John Reyes; stepmom, Carmen Elizondo; sister, Yvette Reyes and niece, Athena; sister, Abigail Elizondo; sister, Angelina Jaquiz; stepsister, Angie Rios; stepbrother, Leo Rios Jr; and grandparents, aunts, uncles, and lots of cousins.
Anthony was preceded in death by his mother, Claudia Sanchez; grandpa, Jorge Garcia; uncle, Javier Garcia; aunt, Sandra Rodriguez; and cousin, Clarissa Rodriguez.
Pallbearers will be John Reyes, Tony Rodriguez, Marcus Trejo, Marcos Watanave, Leo Rios Jr and Armando Sanchez Jr.
