John was born on June 8, 1934, to Espiridion and Mercedes Moreno. He passed away suddenly into the arms of our Lord on Monday, April 12, 2010, with his entire family present. John was a proud Veteran of the U.S Marine Corps, Army National Guard, and California Air Guard with 27 years of service. He truly believed in the motto Semper Fidelus. Where ever John went he was the center of attention. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Ignacio Martinez and Macario Moreno; sisters, Louise Saldana and Genevieve Calderon; his sons, Vincent, Michael, and Raymond Moreno; and his great-grandson, Joseph Gabriel Gonzales. He will be dearly missed and always loved. John is survived by Nadine, his loving wife of 57 years; his daughter, Marlene Gonzales; his sons, Christopher, Eddie, and Anthony Moreno; his brothers, Andrew and Silverio Moreno; his sisters, Lupe Delgado, Annie Santos and Mary Moreno; 17 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. A Viewing will be held at Yost & Webb Funeral Home on Monday, April 19, 2010 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. Recitation of the Holy Rosary and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Helen's Catholic Church on Monday, April 19, 2010, beginning at 12:00 noon. Interment will be at St. Peter's Cemetery.
