He married Mary K. White and they lived together in Memphis, Tennessee. Together they raised 7 children Darryle White (Tereasa White), Marion William, Dennis Thomas Hill, Donnie Malone, Proceeded, in death by Tonnie D Quells, Wayne White, Leonard White. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.

Joe worked at Self-Employed and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people.
