1932 ~ 2016Joe C. Bishop 84 passed away on December 1, 2016 in West Jordan, Utah.Joe was born on September 10,1932 in Strafford, TX to Hernice W. & Lula B. Bishop. Joe served in the Korean War aboard the U.S.S. Dixie from 1952 -1956.Joe married Mae Nielsen on June 13, 1954 in Ely, NV and later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. In their 62 years of marriage they were always together, working and playing. Survived by his children Elizabeth (Robert) Hunsaker and Kevin E. Bishop, 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren. He was proceeded by his son, Joe Dewayne, his daughter, Kathleen Mae Quibell, his grandson, Jarad Bishop. Funeral service will be held at the Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery. Viewing will be December 6, 2016 from 6-8 pm. Funeral and burial services will be held on December 7, 2016 at 11:00 am with a viewing one hour prior to the services.
