Jody Kerns, 46, of Waterloo, Iowa, passed on April 8, 2021. Jody was born on June 15, 1973.

Jody was the cool mom. The fun maker. The energy in the room. She was a famous frown destroyer, gifted at bringing people together with laughter and joy. She remembered your name, your friends, your spouse, your dog. Her wide smile and warm eyes encouraged you to open your heart and share your story.

Jody will be dearly missed. Her children, Derek and Austin cherish her memory with stories about the best, most spontaneous mom ever. Her grandchildren, karsyn hamblin, Archer Hamblin, will remember the love of a wonderful grandma. And her mother, Diane and brother, Steve kerns carry with them precious memories of Jody.

Her family and friends plan to celebrate her legacy by sharing memories of the laughter and energy she brought to the world. This Celebration of Life (more like a party, which Jody would've wanted) will be held on from 6 to 9 p.m. april 13th, at the eagle Club banquet hall in waterloo.
