Joanne Plettner, 86, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed on January 23, 2024 from Huntington's . Joanne was born on May 15, 1937 to Henry and Helen Kappelman. She was an executive secretary at Principal Financial for many years until retirement. She had a brief marriage to Daniel Brown and they had two sons in that union.

She is survived by her children Timothy, James (shelly)Brown; 7 Grandchildren Kira (Nick) Lett, Jason (Karen) Brown, Alia Brown, Caitlin (Justin) Kronin, Coutney (Dale) Widman, and Heather (Tyler ) Lappegard[; and 14 Great Grandchildren.

she is preceeded in death by her parents, and brother Robert Kappelman
