It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joanne Dillard, who was born on August 7, 1933, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She passed away on October 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Joanne was the beloved daughter of Jonathon and Diane Dillard. She was married to her devoted spouse, Lewis Dillard, for 65 years. Together, they raised two children, Shawn Dillard (spouse Holly Dillard) and Jonathon Jr (spouse Kate Dillard), who meant the world to her. Joanne also leaves behind six cherished grandchildren Deandre Dillard, Saun C. Dillard, Shawntae Dillard, Legend Dillard, Ohana Dillard and Phylicia Dillard.

Joanne dedicated much of her life to education, serving as a teacher at Mt Lebanon High School until her retirement in 2025. In addition to her professional career, she was passionate about giving back to her community. Joanne volunteered at multiple homeless shelters and community organizations, always putting others before herself.

Outside of her work and volunteer activities, Joanne had a passion for cooking and spending quality time with her family. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for those around her.

Joanne Dillard will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in peace.
