Joan Yvonne Fletcher CraigMemphis, TNJoan Yvonne (Fletcher) Craig, loving mother, sister and grandmother passed away on Wednesday, March 8th after an extended hospital stay. She was born on March 26, 1940, to Emerson and Hedwig Fletcher of Memphis, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Wayne Emerson Fletcher. She is survived by her sister Linda (Fletcher) Clement who has been by her side through her entire hospital stay. Her sons Christopher Lee Craig and Kelly Karl Craig – daughters–in–law, Laurie ( Smith) Craig and Vickie (Phelps) Craig – grandsons Ian Christopher Craig and Jordan Parker Craig.Joan was a family oriented individual who always put those closest to her first. She was an active member of a women's group (The Frayser Maids) who went to lunch together every Friday. She loved to play canasta and do crossword puzzles. She was an avid reader and enjoyed all genres. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved peacocks. She always made time to attend her grandson's baseball, football or basketball games. She loved to travel with her sister and her children.Visitation for Joan will be Thursday, March 9th from 5PM – 8PM and funeral services will be Friday, March 10th beginning at 1PM all at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119.
