Joan E. SablinskiBeacon - Joan E. Sablinski, a longtime resident of Beacon, passed away on August 28, 2017. She was 84 years old.Joan was born on June 28, 1933 in Cornwall, the daughter of the late Frederick and Mary Downey Braner. On April 24, 1955 she married William M. Sablinski. Mr. Sablinski predeceased Joan in 1995. Joan worked as a dispatcher for Rogers Liquor Company in Newburgh. She was a parishioner of St. Joachim - St. John the Evangelist Church. She was a member of the Tioronda Garden Club and was on the Planning Committee for the Patriots Garden in Beacon.Joan is survived by her children, Jeanne Millard and her husband, Jeff, Bobbi Sablinski, Bill Sablinski and his wife, Jean and Elizabeth Sablinski; her grandchildren, Marie Mansfield and her husband, Aerik, Michelle Sargis and her husband, John and Billy Sablinski; her great grandsons, Gavin Mansfield and Matthew Sargis; her sister-in-law, Bonnie Sablinski; several nieces and nephews.In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brothers-in-law, Edward Sablinski, John Sablinski and Robert Sablinski.The family will receive their friends on Wednesday, August 30 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 31 at 10 a.m. at St. Joachim Church, 51 Leonard Street, Beacon.
