Joan McLean Knapp Of Ruston, WA, passed away suddenly Monday, October 31st, 2016, at the age of 64. Joan was born on June 24th, 1952 in Monterey, CA, the third of four daughters to the late Perce and Patricia Kurzdorfer. She was a part of a military family, spending childhood in Germany and Panama before settling in Lakewood, WA, where she met her husband, Charles "Terry" Knapp, whom she married March 31st of '73. Her proudest accomplishments were the births of their children, Joshua and Cassidy. Joan will be missed by many whose lives she touched, both personally and while employed by the Tacoma School District. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Terry; her children Joshua and Cassidy Knapp; and her sisters Judy Davis and Wendy Baldwin; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her aforementioned parents, Perce and Patricia, and sister Robin Carr. A service will be held Friday, November 11th, at 2pm at Mountain View Funeral Home in the Aspen Chapel of the Celebration of Life Building.
